Castleman named Head Wrestling Coach

JPII welcomes Mr. Jamie Castleman as the new Head Wrestling Coach. Coach Castleman began his wrestling career in middle school under the tutelage of the late Tommy Bateman and went on to wrestle for Father Ryan High School, where he won two state championships. Upon graduating high school he attended Wentworth Military Academy where he wrestled for the Army. He later transferred to University of Virginia to complete his wrestling career.

Coach Castleman along with Jason Allman and Matt Mondelli started Knights Catholic Wrestling, a youth wrestling club established to help promote the sport in the area north of Nashville.

“Jamie has a very strong background within the sport and it is clear to me that he brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and passion that he looks forward to sharing with our wrestlers. We are very excited to bring Coach Jamie Castleman on board to lead our Wrestling program,” said John Dempsey, JPII Athletic Director.
