The Lady Knights bowling team improved their record to 8-0 by defeating USN, 26-1 last Tuesday. Sam Aldrich led the Lady Knights with a series high of 448 followed by her sister, Riley Aldrich, with a 418. The men’s bowling team beat both USN, 26-1 and Nashville Christian, 26-1. Quinn Collins led the way for the Knight with series highs of 657 and 748. Ian Dilick bowled a 299, just one pin short of a perfect game against USN. The men’s bowling team improved to 10-0.
The Knights offense peaked to a season high as JPII crushed Blackman/Stewarts Creek 11-6 last Friday. JT Ernst led the Knights’ scorers with six goals, followed by Dylan Guy with four goals, and Max Galpin with one goal. Earlier in the week, the Knights tied Independence/Summit, 6-6.
The Knights playoff run ended on Friday with a 17-42 loss to Memphis University School. The Knights came out strong in the first half, trailing at the half 10-14, but failed to match the Owl’s intensity in the second half of the game. Antwan Roberts rushed for 173 yards in 16 carries. Jay Wright led all Knights’ tacklers with 10 tackles. The Knights finished the season 6-6, one of the school’s best records in recent history.
