Pracht receives Hawkins Scholar-Athlete Award

Join us in congratulating senior Nick Pracht for receiving the Charles W. Hawkins Scholar-Athlete Award at the 53rd annual Middle Tennessee Chapter National Football Foundation banquet in Franklin, TN.

“Nick Pracht has brought a new level of leadership to our program both by working the mission of our football program and our school.  The first elected two-year captain in the history of our program, Nick’s mature demeanor and understanding of what high school football can do for a young man separated him from the pack.  In Nick’s own words, “football was never really about scoring touchdowns or making tackles, instead, it taught me how to work hard, connect with my peers, and lead from behind.”  As a smart, savvy, and highly impactful football player in our growing program, Nick had an understanding that football was not a means to some kind of end but instead served as a platform for much more.  Football provided Nick with the tools to develop himself and those he served far more than simply achieving any kind of measurable athletic goal or crown.  Nick Pracht is clearly destined for far greater things in his lifetime and I look forward to following his continued success far beyond the doors of Pope John Paul II High School.” – Coach Justin Geisinger
