Knight Notes March 15, 2017
Dear JPII Community,
I wish each of you a safe and restful spring break. Our students have worked hard so far this semester and the break will provide a much-needed opportunity to relax before the final stretch of the fourth quarter. As a reminder, students will be dismissed tomorrow at 12:15 p.m. and buses will depart at 12:45 p.m. Our faculty look forward to welcoming parents on campus for conferences in the afternoon. This is the time to make sure your student is on track to finish the year strong. If you haven’t already done so, please contact teachers soon to develop a plan for success.
I invite you to check out the website for the latest student news. Spring sports are underway. We wish athletes and coaches all the best as they begin the season. Congratulations to the cast and crew of Shrek. It was a wonderful production with amazing costumes and a great deal of fun for the audience. If you have time this Thursday or Friday at 11:30 a.m., please drop-by the Puryear Library to view the amazing AP Art Presentations.
Academic scheduling for the 2017-2018 school year is wrapping up this week. We look forward to welcoming a large freshman class. Due to increased enrollment and the expansion of the Innov8 Program, we are considering opening additional sections of classes. We are blessed that this growth allows us to hire strong teachers to enhance our already talented faculty. We are excited about the prospect of meeting the ever changing interests of our students by offering an array of programming options through Innov8 and other programs building on the historic strength of the JPII experience.
Below is a message from Mrs. Michelle Barber, Dean of Admissions and Advancement inviting you to participate in FFE Parent Commitment Week. I also encourage you to give to the FFE – every gift makes a difference.
The Advancement Office is feeling rather lucky because of YOU, our parents. This week is FFE Parent Commitment Week. If YOU have not already done so, please make a gift to the annual fund, the Fund For Excellence (FFE). Any and all gifts are needed and appreciated. YOU would be surprised how every gift, no matter the size, adds up to make a big difference for JPII. Parents, your gift to the FFE will help your student’s HOUSE points accumulate toward winning the coveted JPII HOUSE CUP! May the Luck of the Irish inspire you to make a tax-deductible donation now by CLICKING HERE. THANK YOU!
