About JPII

Knight Notes December 6, 2017

Dear JPII Community,

I wish you and your entire family the very best this Advent Season. As people of faith, we wait with hope and anticipation for Christmas as we celebrate the birth of the Messiah. As students, teachers, and parents, we wait with excitement and eagerness for the end of the semester and look forward to spending time with family and friends and finding time for rest and rejuvenation. As a school we are taking time to prepare for Christmas with song, prayer, and celebration. Last week our choir did an amazing job with their Christmas concert as well as at their performances this week at the Cathedral of the Incarnation. I thank the students for their time and energy and Mr. O’Neill for his leadership. Thursday night we will gather for the Christmas instrumental concert to showcase our students in the symphonic band, chamber orchestra, and percussion ensemble. We wish our musicians and Mr. Tupper a successful event. On Friday we will celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception with an all school Mass and after Mass, the students will put their spin on the holidays with a Christmas caroling assembly.

Tomorrow you can expect a letter from me announcing new technology for the 2018-2019 school year. This addition will enable us to incorporate more technology in the classroom and enhance our Innov8 program. We have been working on this transition for several years, even before I became the headmaster, and we are very excited to share this with the community.

One final reminder, please note that Monday, December 11th is not a late start. Classes will begin at 7:55 a.m.

Sincerely,

Mike Deely
