Beginning Theatre

Open to all grades.

Beginning Theatre is a fantastic way to learn a little of everything that theatre encompasses. Students have the opportunity to create original works and perform them in a safe classroom setting. With opportunities to play there is also the support on which theatre relies; Tech. Backstage construction and production work encourages all participants to engage the multifaceted elements of the stage. From learning to hammer, measure, and screw, to safely using a miter saw. Theatre classes become an integral part of all JPII shows. Public speaking techniques focus on microphone usage and how speakers are perceived. Terminology, application, etiquette, and history are the cornerstones from where the students’ knowledge and understanding will grow.
